MEP quoted to supply a TBS 2400 for this plant in 2014 but, for commercial reasons, the previous management agreed to purchase a Polish copy of the MEP TBS. Following the installation and despite many modifications and adjustments, the machine did not perform satisfactorily. MEP were asked to come to site in August 2017 to investigate whether the machine could be modified or replaced with an MEP TBS.
Following the inspection of the Polish copied machine it was concluded that the design and construction indicated a lack of experience and a lack of knowledge of the performance and function of the separation of fine coal using a Hydrosizer and that it would not be possible to modify the machine to enable it to carry out the required process.
Very quickly after our report was forwarded to the customer, they made the decision to replace the copy with an MEP TBS 2400. The machine was delivered in November 2017 and successfully installed and commissioning in December 2017. The machine has been a success and is an excellent demonstration of why MEP’s experience and knowledge are key reasons to purchase our machines rather than non-genuine copies.
