MEP are the UK agent to supply the Pozzato range of Log Washers, Screens and Crushers.

The Pozzato Log Washer has been designed for treatment of aggregates with a maximum size of between 80 – 100 mm containing clay or soil and a certain percentage of fines. The use of this machine is advised where traditional washing by spray bars on a vibrating screen is not sufficient for obtaining the suitable quality of aggregates for concrete production.
The Log Washer can remove earth and clay thanks to the continuous mixing by means of two counter-rotating rotors fied with blades. The model and length of machine is determined by the quantity and type of impurities contained in the aggregates. It is also possible to adjust the aggregates feed rate by either adjusting the revolutions per minute of the rotors, or the inclination of the machine.
The moon of the Log Washer is transmitted by an oversized epicyclic reduction gear, connected to the motor (through pulleys, hydraulic join and driving belts) on one side and to the two gear wheels with pinion coupling on the other. Gear wheels guarantee the perfect synchronism between the two shafts.

On start up, an aggregate layer is formed on the bottom of the tank, protecting from wearing due to the flowing of aggregates. The bottom of the Log Washer is provided with a water jet system in order to keep this aggregate layer so, thus reducing friction and consequently wear within the tank.
The two rotors are made of suitably dimensioned tubes, onto which sturdy blade holders are welded. The blades are made of anti-wear CrMo casting to allow the highest wearing strength and are bolted enabling a simple and fast replacement when required.
The Log Washer does not produce any vibration and can be installed, together with the relevant support structure, directly on top of the screening and washing equipment.
